How Full is the Moon

1999-05-15
Counting the days, 29 ways, change is coming real soon. I'm spinning my wheels every 24 hours as I'm tracking the size of the moon.

It's coming 'round, it's coming 'round the bend.
And I'm headed down, the sun, the fun, my friend.

It's harvesting season, just after bloom, as the fruits of my labor loom, in the light of a transitting moon.

Hey diddle diddle, packing up my fiddle and I'm playing with the cat, a crazy kind of riddle, 'bout a dog and a spoon and a cow and the moon and a dish like me ... running wild and free.

I know a thing. I may know two, like how full is the moon? It will be full again soon.

Oh lunar love, a luney tune, a howling moon dog, laughing spoon, moonstruck dishes, swooning cows ... by the light of the moon it's all real somehow.

29 days, 29 ways, it's a phase and it's gonna end soon. I'll be laughing and howling, barking, meowing, mooning and dishing and spooning and wishing, as the mood is just right on a luminous night, by the light of a transitting moon.

It will be full again soon.
